In Q3 of 2020, a worldwide crossover event entitled, "Plan Bermuda," was celebrated by fans of both the Netflix hit series Money Heist and world-renowned battle royale mobile gaming app, Garena Free Fire.
Contracted as freelance Creative Director to work alongside Lemonade the Agency, we introduced the US Free Fire gaming community to the "Ultimate Heist" Sweepstakes totaling over $48,000 in cash, gold + silver bullion, and prizes.
Our goal was to draw in new gamers and existing community members into Free Fire’s new 4v4 team mode, updated in Netflix' Money Heist theme, which included promotional outfits and equipment.
To raise awareness around the promotion, Lemonade partnered with game design company, Wild Optimists, to create a digital scavenger hunt with escalating challenges and puzzles.
With the help of prominent gaming influencers and celebrities such as Felicia Day and the Tribe Gaming Team, we were able to raise awareness around the event, encourage gameplay and promote more downloads.
With a first place prize of $25,000 in cash and gold, the sweepstakes accrued more than 4 million impressions over the course of 5 days.
